Dear Colleagues,
This year Polish LOFAR Consortium (POLFAR) is celebrating the 10th anniversary since establishing the foundations for the Polish LOFAR infrastructure. Additionally, in 2023 we are celebrating the 550th Anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus and the fact that this great astronomer lived and worked for many years in Olsztyn. To celebrate these two occasions together, we would like to invite the LOFAR Family to Olsztyn for the 2023 LOFAR FAMILY MEETING! It will be a great opportunity to share our scientific accomplishments and experiences, especially in the face of the upcoming LOFAR 2.0 upgrade and the transition to LOFAR ERIC.
The LOFAR Family Meeting 2023 will take place at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland on June 12-16 2023. (http://www.uwm.edu.pl/en) During the LFM2023, The Conference Center of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will be exclusively available for the participants.
The registration will be available soon at http://lfm2023.uwm.edu.pl/registration
The venue is located in the heart of the UWM Kortowo campus, close to the city centre. Olsztyn can be easily reached from Warsaw and Gdańsk airports. The Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport has a very good train connection with the Olsztyn West Station. All detailed information about the venue, hotels and travel suggestions will be available at the meeting webpage.
Please feel free to contact with LOC via e-mail: lfm2023@uwm.edu.pl in the case on any questions.
