How to get to Olsztyn

To access Olsztyn and UWM we recommend you to choose travel through Warsaw Chopin Airport (Warszawa Lotnisko Chopina). Olsztyn can be reached from the Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna) – the Warsaw Central Station is well connected with the airport with the Warsaw City Train (SKM) or city bus (lines 175 and 504).

Tickets for the Warsaw city train can be purchased at the ticket vending machines at the station or inside the train.

All the train connections (including city trains) as well as the electronic ticket purchase service can be found at:

Please note, that station names would be still in Polish.

We also recommend you to choose Olsztyn West Station (Olsztyn Zachodni) as the destination – the station is much closer to both UWM and most of hotels. Additionally Olsztyn Main Station (Olsztyn Główny) is currently under construction.

Warsaw-Olsztyn train ticket is around 15 EUR.

Hotels and UWM can be easilly reached with a taxi or city bus. Although there is no Uber in Olsztyn available, you can use Bolt, if you wish.

Bus tickets can be purchased from the ticket vending machines at the bus stops or inside the bus. In the taxi there is possibility to pay by credit card.

City bus tickets are around 1 EUR, taxi cost around 4-5 EUR.
